One of the major example of Sicliy's unique encounter of architectonic styles, Palermo's cathedral is the results of century of additions, redecoration and restorations. It was built on 1185 on the site of a former byzantine church, which was used as a mosque during the 9th century and it encompass Medieval, Gothic, Arabic and Neoclassical style.
